Google review QR code generator
A card on the counter that opens the review form in one scan. Free, no account, and the code is generated in your browser — your link never reaches a server.
Getting the right link is the part people get wrong
A QR code pointing at your Google Maps listing makes the customer hunt for the review button. You want the link that opens the star-rating form directly.
In your Google Business Profile, open Ask for reviews. Google gives you a short link that looks like https://g.page/r/CQm…/review. That is the one. Paste it into the generator and you are done.
- Sign in to your Google Business Profile.
- Choose Ask for reviews (on some accounts it is Get more reviews).
- Copy the short link it shows you.
- Paste it above and pick the Leave Us a Review template.
Place it where the visit ends, not where it starts
Reviews get written in the last thirty seconds of a visit, while the person is still holding their phone and still feeling something. That is where the sign has to be: the payment counter, the receipt tray, the salon mirror as the cape comes off, the table when the bill lands.
A sign at the entrance is read by people who have not experienced anything yet, and a sign on a wall behind the till is read by nobody.
What Google actually allows
Asking every customer for a review is fine. What is not fine is offering anything in return for one, or only asking the customers you expect to be happy — Google calls that review gating and it is against their policy.
A QR code that goes to the same form for everyone, with no incentive attached, is exactly the kind of asking Google is comfortable with.
How big to print it
For a card someone picks up or leans over — a counter sign, a table tent — anything from 1 inch (25 mm) upwards scans fine. For a code people read from across a room, the working rule is one tenth of the scanning distance: readable from 10 feet means roughly a 12 inch code.
Download the SVG or PDF for anything printed large. Both are vector, so they stay sharp at any size.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find my Google review link?
In your Google Business Profile, open Ask for reviews. Google shows a short link of the form https://g.page/r/…/review. Copy that.
Can I use a Place ID instead of a link?
Yes. Paste the Place ID and the generator builds the review URL for you. If you are printing a keychain or another small object, prefer the short g.page link — the long Place ID URL needs a physically bigger code to stay scannable.
Is it against Google’s rules to ask for reviews with a QR code?
No. Asking is allowed. Offering discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews is not, and neither is filtering who you ask based on how happy they seem. A code that opens the same form for every customer is fine.
Do these codes expire?
No. The code contains your link directly — there is no redirect service in between and no subscription. It keeps working as long as your Google listing does.
